Physician performs a Kenalog injection to the superior laryngeal nerve(Vagal nerve block).
This is not through the nose. CPT 64408 was the code that was being coded previously.
Need help with getting the correct code.
“The region over the bilateral superior laryngeal nerve was prepped in the usual sterile fashion. Then 1cc of a 50/50 mixture of .5% marcaine/ Kenalog 40mg/cc was injected to the right side and to the left side to achieve blockage of the SLN"
