I have a provider who excised two portions of the small intestine due to ischemia. The three remaining segments of small bowel were then anastomosed the following day. What are your thoughts on how this should be coded? For the first surgery I'm coming up with 44120 and 44121 w/ modifier 52. I'm at a loss for the second surgery. Thank you for any help.
