Wiki EOBS how long must they be keep?

Hi All

Does anyone know how long EOBs from ins. co must be keep. We are located in MA. Any info will be appreciated.
 
Keeping your EOB

Cathy, it really depends upon your particular office. Most payers keep eobs available on line for 60 or 90 days. I wouldn't be too quick to get rid of them due to overpayments or claims denying and you would need these for your account or billing purposes in the future as well as appeals. I would suggest at least 6-months to a year because once the payor drop them from the system, there is no way for you to retrieve them.
