I hope this isn't too winded, but here I go......
A surgeon places the epicardial leads and the generator for a PM- then the EP doc is there doing an EP evaluation of the leads with testing and programming. I know that 93640/93641 is used for an ICD, but what code do you use for a pacemaker?? My EP nurses think that these codes incorporate ICD's and PM's, but all of the coding books I can find say that it is strictly for ICD's.

Does anyone code for this type of procedure, and if so, what codes are you using?
