I'm looking for the CPT code for an epicardial echo. It was done during a CABG. It's different from a TEE (93312, 93314) or an Intracardiac echo (93662). Does anyone know?

Thanks,

Hope :)

Look at 76998, my doctors bill this code for what they call an Epiaortic Echo during a CABG. They document that they performed the echo, personally reviewed and interpreted the images, they give details on the vessels viewed and findings in the op note, and indicate that permanent images were saved in the medical record. Hope this helps!

MUST there be recorded/saved imaging in order to bill 76998?
