Hi Everyone,
I'm coding ER Physician's Billing and my question is there a difference of the Level of Service? What I mean it is necessary that the ER Hospital Billing should be coded HIGHER EXAMPLE; 99284 because of the work-up done and for the Physician Billing is only 99283?

The facility and physician levels will not necessarily be the same. The facility will code based on their resource utilization and patient acuity whereas the physician should code based on the E&M guidelines for elements documented in the note.
