I am new to Trauma billing so I am unsure about this....My Neurosurgeon was called in to consult on a pt initially in the ER and did a closed treatment of a cervical fracture (billed 99284 & 22315). The following day he saw the pt again but at this point the pt had been admitted. He coded as 99251, which I know is incorrect. What do I code the second visit? :confused:
 
If the visit was for the care of the cervical fracture, the encounter should be part of the 90-day global fracture care.
