If a patient is seen by a provider called in to the ER (Ortho in this case) at 11:30 at night on the 3rd of the month and is admitted, but the hospital's official Date of Admission is the 4th of the month, does the provider bill for an ER visit on the 3rd with a POS of ER, or does he bill for an initial inpatient visit with a POS Inpatient?
