There was a patient that came in to have the Essure procedure done via hysteroscope and also had a polyp excised from the cervix. I coded for the ICD 9 procedure 66.39 for essure and 68.29 for the polypectomy procedure. I am being told to only code the 68.19 for both. Anyone know witch if either are correct?
