Hello
if pt came in for PCP change, Transfer of care or established care can we bill that visit as preventive visit? or do we need to use regular office visit codes.
thank you in advance :)

if there was a chief complaint, such as needing a medication refilled for a condition that the physician evaluated, then you'd bill an office visit. If there was no chief complaint, and the provider performed a well visit, you'd bill the preventive visit codes. If all the provider did was a meet and greet, it's not billable.
