We are a rural PPS West Texas facility who has recently contracted with a Urologist to consult and perform procedures in our rural health clinic and SDC outpatient unit.
Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy is being done in some of the cases and the facility who provides the lithotripter is charging our facility $2,700 per procedure. Is there a way for us to bill this out to the patient?
If this can in fact be done, can someone assist in how to build the charge/code this?
