Patient had I & D of right lower extremity wound. A EAU (examination under anesthesia) of the wound was also performed in the OR. Is there a code to separatelt bill the EAU or would it be included in the I & D procedure? Thanks:)

Without the op report and indication for surgery it is difficult to give a complete answer. If it is simply and I & D for infection EUA is not seperately coded. However if it is a penetrating wound you could consider:

20103
Exploration of penetrating wound (separate procedure); extremity

This is used for gun shot wounds, stab wounds, trauma etc where further exploration is needed to identify any damage to internal structures, etc. A full operative report would enable us to give a more accurate and complete answer.
