Incision was made approximately 4 - 5 cm in length. The large hematoma was entered. App 20 ml of old blood was evacuated. Could not palpate any fragments in the cavity or anywhere near it. US performed to be sure there was no deep vein thrombosis and it was clear. Incision was packed with 18" of iodoform gauze. Partial closure with subq 3-0 vicryl. This was from an incident a month earlier and no surgery performed at that time.
I have looked at 10140 and 26990. I know it is from one extreme to the other.
 
Hello, I think your first choice is the best option. Also, I am not sure what CPT is 26990. 10140 seems to perfectly describe what you have posted from the op note.
