I am just wondering what other offices are using as a guideline for coding new pt E/M for this? I have PFSH, 10 elements reviewed for exam, striaghtforward mdm. What i'm struggling with is the ROS. ROS states negative other than descibed above... all the HPI states is that he was to follow - up in 5 yrs for a polyp identified on his last colonscopy which I do not feel qualifies as a ROS? coder billed as a 99202 but I'm leaning towards a 99201 for the lack of ROS... any input would be greatly appreciated.
