I need help please. . . . .

Patient has septic arthritis and a fx of the femoral head. Surgeon did a capsulotomy,
then sent cultures to the lab. " The femoral head and neck were identified and removed from the acetabulum. The hip was irrigated with antibiotic solution. The IT band was closed. The main incision closed and irrigated".

I am at a loss. Do I use 27161 ?
Any help would be appreciated.
 
Good Question..... I kept looking back to the Fracture/Dislocation section for something related to the fx. Then it dawned on me, it sounds like a Girdlestone-type procedure (27122). The 27161 reads like a realignment procedure in my CDR--NOT an excision of the femoral head.

Thoughts from anyone else?
