I'm completely stuck on how to code this procedure. I contacted the hospital to see what they chose to bill and they are using an unlisted stomach surgery code 43999. I'm just not sure....any suggestions?

-A 3 cm incision was made around the fistula tract and carried into subcutaneous tissue down to the fascia where this fistula was found to communicate with the fistula and extend on to the stomach that was attended with the fascia. Complete tract was excised and submitted for path. Copius irrigation was performed...closure of fascia was done with running suture...copious irrigation of subcutaneous tissue...skin was stapled.
