Hello all. So our provider performed a salpingectomy along with the excision of labial cyst. We are needing to find the proper code for the excision. I keep coming back to the the one for bartholin's cyst/gland but notes and op note do not indicate this is what it was. I am lost as to what I should use.
This is from the OP note:
At this point, our attention was then turned to the excision of the labial cyst.
The attachment of the cyst was then examined and marked using a marking pen. 0.25% Marcaine was infiltrated into the stalk of the cyst. A circumferential incision was made using a 15 blade along the line of the previously marked region. The cyst was then excised using Metzenbaum scissors. The epithelium was reapproximated using 4-0 Vicryl in a continuous running fashion. Hemostasis was noted after excision. At this point, the patient was taken down from the dorsal lithotomy position. She was reversed from anesthesia and extubated. The patient was then transferred to the recovery room in good condition.
