Need help with CPT coding for surgical procedure on thumb and palm
Patient had 3 procedures
1 Carpal Tunnel [64721] ok on this
2. Incision mass thumb
3. Incision mass palm
Incision over ulnar aspect of thumb. It was distal to volar thumb crease at IP joint. Elliptical incision made to excise area of thickened skin with a nidus in the middle. Skin only was excised. Subcutaneous was not. Skin closed with4-0 nylon sutures.
Path report Dermis Perivascular lymphocyte
Incision over ulnar aspect of proximal palm. Transverse incision of soft tissue mass on palm. It was in area of pisiform bone. Subcutaneous tissue was dissected and sent to pathology. Skin closed with 4-0 sutures. 20 ml of 0.5% Marcaine injected.
Splint to immobilize wrist and thumb.
