I am struggling with this situation, so I am hoping others may have encountered this before. We have a patient who is status post right mastectomy with TRAM flap. The patient has now had a recurrence in the left breast and is going to have a left mastectomy only. She would like to have the TRAM flap removed/excised so that the sides match. There will not be any reconstruction of any kind. Help? Thank you.
