This is the procedure done under anesthesia...
Lesion was grasped with a Colibri forceps and was excised using that as scissors. It was then stuck on a piece of paper with proper alignment and sent to Pathology. At this point it was noted the deep bed of the excisional bipsy still had some pigmented tissue there so the tissue was also excised and sent as a separate pathology specimen. The lesion was measured to be 1 mm x 1 mm.
How would this be coded?
