Wiki Experience Looking for Part Time Position (CPC)

I have had my CPC for 6 years and work for a major insurance company. I have been trying to get a coding/auditing position for part time work. Are billing companies less likely to hire somebody who has experience on the "other side"? I would be able to spend 15 - 20 hours per week auditing and be more than willing to provide a resume. Just wondering what the billers think? I have seen two positions on here so far for remote coders, what would you folks think?

I would think that your experience working for the insurance would make you very valuable in a billing position, because you know how the insurance companies work. One concern is that your full time employer may not allow you to work in a billing position, for this very reason. It would be a conflict of interest. Did you sign any kind of Non-compete agreement with the insurance company?
