A large Orthopedic group located in Arlington, TX is currently seeking a Worker's Compensation Collector to work in the Central Business Office. The preferred candidate will be a seasoned professional, experienced, detailed oriented and a team player.

Essential duties and responsibilities of this position include:

• Working knowledge of the Texas Workers' Compensation rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of billing requirements for Worker's Compensation claims.
• Stays abreast of changes in Workers Compensation guidelines and informs Director of such changes and requirements.
• Understanding of CPT and ICD9 coding.
• Experienced with A/R follow up for outstanding claims.
• Ensures all needed paper work is in place and submitted with claims.
• Assess accounts to be re-billed, identifying those returned due to wrong carrier, no first report of injury, and denied claims.


Qualified candidates will have the following requirements and skills:


High School diploma required, Associates degree preferred.
Minimum of (3) years' experience working with Texas Workers Compensation claims.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional demeanor and experience working in a team environment.
Greenway/Prime Suite practice management software experience preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
