:confused:I am looking for some guidance on how to code an exploration of a scalp lesion that was not excised performed in an ASC. The general surgeon thought the lesion was a sebaceous cyst however after making the incision the lesion turned out to be a bony mass that was not excised.

I am not familiar with coding for ASCs and need any guidance that can be provided.
 
I had something like this before and ended up just coding the repair. This would be the only thing you could code since he did nothing else. All repair codes that I know of are payable codes in ASC.:)
