We are having multiple opinions on how to bill a counseling visit with face to face time of 95 minutes or more. i know we would be using the 90837 with the prolonged services code of 99354.

The question is that we use that prolonged office visit code for non counseling services too. I know that the place of service place a huge role in reimbursement. So can two disciplines like counseling and Ob/GYN use this same code and have two different prices fr the same tax id number?

There are other professional organizations that say to bill a 90834 X2 units which i know is not correct.

Any ideas from the mental health world?
