My provider wants to report for external hemorrhoid banding but I am not sure what code to suggest, I am thinking 46999; 46221 is listed as internal only. Can anyone clarify this for me.:confused:
 
External Hemorrhoid Banding

I was curious if you figured out the correct coding for this. I realize your question was in 2011, but there is still no specific code that describes banding for external hemorrhoids, only internal and I was hoping you could let me know what you came up with.
