Wiki Externalization of VP shunt

My question is in regard to the externalization of a VP Shunt which will later be re-internalized in the setting of removing just the valve set

OP NOTE: We then dissected the shunt valve subgaleal and removed this with ligating the well functioning distal catheter with hemoclip and ligature. We then examined the proximal catheter which had spontaneous CSF egress. I thus irrigated this catheter to ensure no impediment and maintained this catheter. I then used a type A connector here and connected a distal external catheter and externalized this to the external burretryl. We then copiously irrigated with abx irrigation and then closed after confirming hemostasis.

Question 1: I don't think CPT 62258 is appropriate as the provider does not remove the complete shunt system, but only the valve set. How should this be coded?
Question 2: What does "other shunt" refer to in CPT 62258
