Face Guard for sports after nasal surgery

Hello,
Our office is having a hard time coming up with a dx for the following:
Pt. has Open reduction of nasal fracture with open repair of the septal fractures; bilateral inferior turbinate submucous resection. The pt.'s care after surgery indicates for the pt. to avoid injuring nose/surgery site while healing. Problem is, the pt. wants to rejoin her school sports activities before it has completed healing and wants a face guard. Since this is an elective decision by the pt., I am unsure what to code.. please help :)
