Wiki Facility Critical Care time and infusions

We need to know if the time spent providing an infusion to a patient that qualifies for facility critical care needs to be deducted from the total time.

For example if a patient comes in with atrial fibrillation with RVR and requires a diltiazem drip. We provided 60 minutes of face-to-face critical care time and the diltiazem drip ran for 40 minutes - would we need to deduct this time from the total critical care time? From what we have found infusions are separately reportable with critical care services. We are looking for a reference from CMS about this and have unable to locate one.

Thank you for your help with this!
