Our office has a patient who failed to progress after cervidil for over 24 hrs, pitocin, and second trial with cervidil and cytotec over a two day period. The Dr performed a c-section on the third day, would we bill for our time spent with the patient on the first two days? Or would a modifier -22 on the c-section with notes be more appropriate?
