I would like verification on something I read in an email I received. The question was if an attempt at a transforaminal injection was performed at one level of the lumbar spine, but due to osteophytes was not able to be performed, the surgeon then did an injection at the level just below the failed injection, would it be possible to code for both levels?

The answer to that question was yes because the needle was inserted into the first (failed injection) level, it can be coded. Can anyone verify this for me please.
