My OB/GYN employers have given me a project I need some help with. I have been unable to find ICD-9's for the following: family history of deep vein thrombosis, family history of pulmonary embolus and an ICD-9 to indicate a patient has a mechanical heart valve. I'm making my first posting on this cardiology thread, thanks for any help you can give a newby COBGC.
 
How to find artificial replacement codes

You look up STATUS in the alphabetical index to find codes for artificial joints, heart valves, pacemakers defibrillators, etc.
