Wiki Family Practice coding daily average

I am curious what the average amount of claims per day is for a family practice coder? I was told I need to create 120-150 claims in 8 hours. That averages out to 4 mins to review the notes and create the claim accurately. I bill out e/m, labs and x-rays all on the same claim.
This is not including any queries returned to me.
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

That is about average for our office. Generally between 100-130 for general family practice. We find as we get use to the physician documentation and forms that coding generally goes fairly quickly...some are quick, some take a little longer, but it evens out in the end.
