I need to know the correct way to bill a fecal occult blood test when performed in the exam room as part of a physical? I have read some of the other posts related to this but I am still confused. Any help would be great. Any help would be appreciated.

From the latest news from Medicare, the screening test done in the office by the physician you would use either 82274-QW or G0328-QW with dx code of V76.51.

It is going to depend on the method - Guaiac or Immunochemical. Typically in the offices I have worked in the method is Guaiac but check to make sure. If it is via Guaiac the code of 82274QW would be incorrect.
