We have a provider that is billing for FOBT (82270) during a visit when he is doing a digital rectal exam. Can this be billed separately, in addition to the DRE? Also, I am not sure that CPT 82270 would be the most appropriate since there is one sample and it is being obtained in the office.

Any help, ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
