Good morning all.
I am a coder/auditor for a medium group practice specializing in pediatrics. I have done side work for other fields such as orthopedics, urology, family practice, and psych. I have been approached by a FQHC clinic to do a 3-month audit of their practice to help them determine need for an in-house coder. They are a clinic with pediatrics, family practice, and behavioral health. I am struggling with what to charge. I am debating between hourly rate versus per chart rate. These are all outpatient clinic notes. This clinic is in North Idaho. I am certified as CPC, CPEDC, CPMA, and CRC. Any thoughts?
