I am a graduate from Wichita Technical Institute – Topeka Campus where I received my diploma in Medical Insurance Billing and Coding. During my 12 months at school, I received the Director's Honor Roll and I have my CPC-A Certification through the AAPC. I have studied Medical Office Basics, Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Terminology, Medical Coding (ICD-9, CPT-4, HCPCS), Health Information Technology and HIPAA laws. I obtained 120 hours of on-the-job training at Pulmonary and Sleep Associates in Topeka, KS. I gained great experience in both the front of the medical office, as well as the back of the medical office. I have front office experience with answering multi-line phones, collecting patient payments, calling patients to confirm appointments, and scheduling patient appointments. I have back office experience with collections, claim denials, contacting payer in regards to error, coding, mailing and faxing claims, locating EOB's, and some experience with sending electronic claims to payer.
A strength in which I possess is that I have six years of continuous customer service experience. I am very detail oriented and I have a very positive attitude.
I would like to be considered for any available employment opportunities. I am confident that I offer the kind of training and experience that will benefit your organization. I am open to relocation opportunities. My flexibility would also be an asset as I am willing to work all schedules.
