A patient is consulted on who has right spastic hemiparesis following a stroke and has severe elbow, wrist, and digital contractures.

I'm using 438.89 for other late effects of cerebrovascular disease, but for the additional code to identify what the late effect is, can I use just the contracture codes 718.42, 718.43, and 718.44? Or would I have to use 438.89, 728.87 for muscle weakness, AND those codes?

Any advice is appreciated.
