Can any of you seasoned, expert vascular coders give some advice?. The dr performing states this has only been done a few times. Should we go with an unlisted procedure code or use 33864. Thanks in advance for any input, much appreciated!

Hi Kris,

I've never heard of a Florida Sleeve operation so I had to look it up online. Now that know it is a valve-sparing aortic root replacement, I would agree that you should bill 33864.

My surgeons have performed this surgery using a different technique but I think the code would be the same.
