I have a group of CRNA's that do epidural steroid injections under fluoroscopic guidance in the state of Iowa. The CRNAs are not medically directed.

One of our providers was recently told that they could not bill for the fluoroscopic guidance without having physician supervision. Is this correct? We have not had any denials from our major payors(eg. Medicare, BCBS, ect).

If anyone has any info that could be helpful I would appreciate it. Thank you!
 
we got a denial from medicare last week stating that ultrasound guidance are not payed for CRNA but that was a CRNA job. so we appealed with documents, i think u too can do the same.others pls correct me i iam wrong!!
