We are an Oncology and Hematology specialty and perform a lot of Port flushes, we use CPT 96523. One patient had an “Art VasCath” lumen for dialysis, it was flushed and repacked with 5,000 units of Heparin. Is there a CPT code we can bill other than 96523 for this service?
