Recently transferred to Pain Management E&M coding. I am looking for clarification on coding from EHR that states follow up for recent LESI, CESI etc.
Should the main diagnosis be a follow up ICD 9 code or the diagnosis ICD 9 such as 724.4?
Also, based on guidelines, most EHR documentation meets a level 3 or 4. Any input from anyone?
