patient comes in for the first diagnostic mammogram after lumpectomy for DCIS do you code the DCIS as the reason for the exam? Becuase I'm getting a LMRP edit when I code V67.09 surgery follow up and V13.89 for the hx of DCIS

You cannot code what the patient no longer has. Coding clinics support using the V67 code for follow up. I would use the V 10.3 instead of the V13.89.
