patient comes in for the first diagnostic mammogram after lumpectomy for DCIS do you code the DCIS as the reason for the exam? Becuase I'm getting a LMRP edit when I code V67.09 surgery follow up and V13.89 for the hx of DCIS:confused:

You cannot code what the patient no longer has. Coding clinics support using the V67 code for follow up. I would use the V 10.3 instead of the V13.89.
