If patient comes in for a ulcer check and the ulcer is now healed and during this encounter the patient had callus debrided how would this be coded. would it be L84(corns and callosities) since the patient had this issue addressed at this appointment. does code Z09 come into play at all since the ulcer has resolved.

L84 should be coded

As this encounter states that callus debrided we have to code L84.

Suppose If we want to code Z09 it states there use additional code to specify personal history from Z86- to Z87-

when we go for Z87.2 Personal history of diseases of the skin and subcutaneous tissue conditions classifiable to L00-L99.

In this encounter callus has been debrided So it represents an L code.
