the doc wants to charge a foreign body removal for a removal of a sliver. I doubt that this is possible, but please give me some input.:)

Pleasantly surprised to bump into one of your posts this morning! How about a little more of an anatomical description? At first glance was thinking 10120-10121, but without the notes, just leaping in the dark. How deep? And I suppose you're probably wondering if an EM alone would be appropriate. Yep, I've learned from all the posts submitted that more details may be requested. I'm sure more answers will follow, J!!

Did it require an incision?

Did this require an incision and some dissection to remove the FB? If the answer is "NO" then all you have is an E/M visit.

Hope that helps.
