Hello All:
I've been given the task of coming up with an office policy in regards to fracture care (if there can ever really be one). I'm trying to find as much reference information (from reputable sources) as I can. Fracture care has been a confusing issue among my co-workers and my supervisor, as well. While I realize that all patients are different and each fracture and treatment is different, I would like to find as "foolproof" way of handling fracture care as I can. I have several pieces of information already, however I know that there is always more out there. Would any of you care to share information that has been helpful to you? If only coding were always a matter of black and white. Any help at all would be appreciated.

check Zupko's website, AAOS website (they have an article on it, I found it by googling fracture care), if you subscribe to decision health's orthopaedic list serv, there are several discussions on fractures (several are replied back from Margie Scalley.
