Hi,

I am wondering if anyone is willing to help me with fracture care. I am specifically looking for help on how to bill if patient was seen in ED then told to follow up with ortho. I bill for the ortho. Thanks,
 
Need to be more specific here. Did the ER bill the fracture care code with a -54 modifier?
Who is the payor? Are the ER docs and ortho part of the same system?
What fracture are we talking about?
What is the ortho's definitive treatment plan?

Wiki Thread 'fracture care'

Where can I go to get basis for charging fracture care? Does charging for fracture care require bracing/cast/DME fitting? Can I charge fracture care when my provider states, "continue shoulder sling applied in ER, see patient in our office in 2 weeks". Where can I go to get answers/guidelines?

You can search under my username and Dr. Raizman's user name in the top right of the forums and the words fracture care, non-op fracture care, etc.
