I work for a provider that wants me to bill office visit on the initial visit of a fracture. The provider splints the fracture and then tells them to return in x amount of days to cast the fracture. When the PT returns then I am suppose to bill fracture treatment code. Is this contrary to coding guidelines, if so how can I show/prove fracture care or office visit must be decided on initial visit?
