As a Patient Account Representative in our Buffalo, NY offices, you'll review and investigate open diagnostic imaging accounts receivables; and re-code and resubmit to ensure proper payment. You will play an important role in reducing the days-sales-outstanding (DSO) – resulting in increased monthly gross collections and increased percentage of collections. CDI is a national provider network of medical imaging and related services. Through our collection of partnerships, we deliver our trademark customer service and high-quality services to enhance patient care in more than 35 states, offering a wide range of screening, diagnostic and interventional procedures that complement each community's needs. You will be reviewing, re-coding, and resubmitting for a variety of imaging procedures, including MRI’s, X-rays, Sonograms, CT scans Mammograms, and Ultrasounds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:
(90%) Accounts Receivable Collections and Coding
• Communicates with patients, insurance carriers, co-workers, centers, markets, referral sources and attorneys in a timely, effective manner to expedite the billing and collection of accounts receivable
• Utilizing NextGen, Cerner, Merge and other software programs, investigates denials to identify reason for denial
• Re-codes accounts with the proper ICD-10 codes
(10%) Performs other duties as assigned
Required:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Certified Medical Coder; 2+ yrs experience in a radiology billing department
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
Preferred:
• Graduate of an accredited medical billing or coding program
