I am hoping someone can help me with pathology coding for placental abnormalities. We see funisitis and umbilical cord vasculitis often on the path reports. So far, we have O41.10-- and O41.12--. but can't agree on how to code them. Taber's defines funisitis as an infection of the umbilical cord rather than inflammation. Any suggestions?
