Transmittal 2155 has been replaced with transmittal 2187 dated 3-28-11. The new transmittal modifies the "effective" date of Q0434-QW from 1-01-11 to 4-01-11. My question is: Shouldn't the claims that were submitted on 2/11 with dates of service of 2/11be paid since the old transmittal was still in effect at that time with an "effective date of 1-01-11?? The 2/11 claims are being denied as "Medicare does not cover".
